MEET MICHAEL J. LEE

Licensed Acupuncturist

Michael J. Lee is a New York and New Jersey State licensed Acupuncturist, and a Nationally Board Certified NCCAOM Diplomat. He completed his undergraduate studies at New York University and went on to get his Masters in Science at New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine where he successfully finished training in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and TCM.

Michael is passionate about what he does. He enjoys helping patients and seeing the light in their eyes when they finally get relief from aches and pains they have been suffering from. Some patients drive miles, even from as far as Virginia and Connecticut to get their acupuncture session with Michael, because he is THAT good!

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a holistic health technique that stems from Traditional Chinese Medicine practices in which trained practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles into the skin.

Today acupuncture is one of the most popular practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the West. TCM is a complimentary health approach that first originated in ancient China more than 2,500 years ago and has been evolving ever since.

Michael's training has been in TCM and the Korean 4 Needle Technique.

The use of acupuncture and other TCM techniques has risen steadily in the U.S and other Western countries over the past several decades. According to a large survey done on complementary health approaches by the National Institute of Health in 2007, in the U.S. alone at least 3.1 million people had tried acupuncture in 2007. The survey showed that the number of visits to acupuncturists tripled between 1997 and 2007.

Michael has successfully treated patients for all types of ailments including allergy, depression, hypertension, hot flashes, weight loss, insomnia, labor induction and more.
